Nel corso degli anni, anche dopo che il Commodore VIC 20 è stato dismesso e soppiantato nelle linee di produzione prima e nelle vendite dopo dal “Biscottone” (il Commodore 64), sono state prodotte molte periferiche, stampanti, cartucce gioco, dispositivi di memorizzazione, domotica, telematica e tanti altri.
Non solo per alcuni anni ma anche oggi, dopo 40 anni, sono diverse le periferiche, frutto di elaborazioni hobbistiche, prodotte in maniera professionale e commercializzate per questa macchina degli anni 80!
Qui trovi una corposa carellata di questi dispositivi ed accessori.
Curiosità: quando ancora si doveva definire il nome da dare alla macchina in Giappone si scelse di chiamarla VIC 1001.
Come spesso accade con Commodore l’origine di “-1001” non è chiara. Potrebbe essere un riferimento a un altro popolare sistema Commodore, il PET-2001. Essendo una versione per certi versi più economica da qui il nome 1001, che poi era la radice di tutti prodotti sviluppati per questa macchina, per esempio VIC 1010 – VIC 1210 – VIC 1923 – VIC 1702 – etc.
Di seguito una carrellata dei prodotti nati in seno alla Commodore proprio per il nostro amato VIC-20, si tratta di una lista estrapolata dal famoso elenco cbm-products – in continuo aggiornamento.
Ovviamente in commercio è stato prodotto molto di più per il VIC, anche dalla stessa Commodore, ma questi sono i prodotti siglati Commodore specifici per il VIC 20, anche se adatti anche per altre macchine.
Ora per noi appassionati di questa macchina questi articoli meritano una menzione particolare.
